Higher Purpose Dance Studio opened in Decatur in 2010, and expanded to Bowie in 2013. Ashley opened the studio with the hopes of providing affordable dance lessons while spreading God's love outside the church walls. We strive to make each dancer feel cared for and loved and not just like another name on the list. We care about each dancer individually and strive to make the studio feel like a family.
Class instruction will include stretching, technique, and learning performance pieces. Classes will end with a short devotional time where the students will learn life-applicable lessons that will help them to integrate and glorify Christ in all facets of their lives.
We are a Christian based dance studio that believes God has endowed each individual with specific gifts and talents that He has purposed for His own glorification. While technique is our top priority, we also strive to guide the dancers in finding their identity in Christ. The dance world can be a very intimidating place to be due to comparison, but God created each dancer unique and with their own abilities. Through our classes, we hope to help the dancers discover their talents and unique gifts God has given them. Each dancer is special to us and will be treated with the utmost respect and love to show them their worth to us and God.
Amy Casares is our ballet instructor.
